For Spring/Summer, subtle, heavily textured black ink washes were applied to each photo. The wet ink alluded to melting snow on the mountain, while the gritty textures had a more urban feel. The type treatment was minimal and allowed the product images to take precedent.
In Fall/Winter the theme shifted to exaggerate a vice of each team rider
– how they spend their time when not snowboarding. The vices, ranged from fishing and chasing girls to sleeping
and gambling. We chose wider angle shots and used colored gels throughout to further exaggerate the scenarios. The shots ended up running in the catalogs and as print ads.
