A book about a place.
Images from a “Bird Dog” competition in August A. Busch Memorial Park, St. Louis set against selected text pulled from Aldo Leopold’s A Sand County Almanac. The text and images critique the impact of “Outdoor Recreation” on nature, and the prevalent destructive mentality of those involved.
The book is broken down into three sections: Heads, Hides, Photographs and Specimens; A Blank Place and The Perceptive Faculty. The bright pink was juxtaposed against
the dark brown images to reflect the invasive nature of these individuals on
their surroundings.
Perfect bound by hand.
